Security and Privacy in Healthcare

Security and privacy in healthcare are of top concern and CIOs/CTOs of healthcare organizations appreciate the security and full scalability of the Clarity solution. We have a proven track record of rapid implementations and high system availability.

Security and Privacy in Healthcare

We have maintained a HITRUST certified status for several years and renew it every two years as required. We also review and re-certify our SOC 2 Type 2 status annually with a third party certified auditor.

Clarity has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 audit. The independent auditor’s opinion is that there are no exceptions or deviations that were important to note in the design and operating effectiveness of Clarity’s controls, which has resulted in an unqualified report.

Integration

We enable customized integrations with virtually any data file format and layout from third-party or custom systems, including those that support enrollment, eligibility and claims. While our experienced business analysts and IT engineers provide configuration and programming to support unique customer needs, the solution offers unlimited customization and the ability to change templates/designs within the application, reducing reliance on change requests or IT.

Hosting

Designed for the cloud with security, scalability, reliability and performance as our mission statement, Clarity is fully hosted at AWS, a SSAE 16 Type II SOC 1 facility one of the most stringent auditing standards for service companies. Their certifications ensure that Clarity delivers secure and reliable solutions that reduce costs of ownership and maintenance while increasing access and usability.

Security and Delivery Model

Clarity invests heavily in technology to create a comprehensive and secure platform based entirely on the latest Internet technology standard and modern security protocols. Our framework and architecture has been formally examined, audited and accepted for use by dozens of clients, including some in the Fortune 500 and several Six Sigma organizations. All communications are fully protected with HTTPS/SSL and secure FTP/PGP encryption. Our systems regularly pass third-party vulnerability testing and we welcome the opportunity to share our performance data with clients.

Security and Audit Considerations

Clarity has made significant investments in the area of audit compliance as well. Client data is stored within a SSAE 16 Type II SOC 1 certified hosting facility featuring 24 x 7 x 365 manned-systems monitoring and on-site security. This investment allows Clarity to monitor all end-user access to our solutions and maintain complete compliance with mandated client and regulatory security and audit controls. In addition, our clients require little or no additional investment to achieve these high standards.

Guaranteed Performance and Uptime

Clarity is hosted on high-performance servers which, in combination with our extensive disaster recovery and fail-over services, allows us to offer our clients exceptional uptime guarantees, reliability and performance. In the aftermath of Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Super Storm Sandy in 2012, despite widespread local power outages and damage, the dedication of Clarity's staff combined with its automated processes and network infrastructure enabled Clarity to provide uninterrupted service to our clients.

Seamless Updates and Improvements

Enhancements and capabilities are made available to you as we develop them, without the need for IT intervention or client-side installation.

System Roles and Security

Clarity’s solution includes a powerful and flexible role-based security model that follows your current security policies and procedures to determine what type of information and access is distributed to end-users. When it comes to security and privacy in healthcare, Clarity's innovative and forward-leaning solutions are designed to leverage the latest in healthcare communications technology; including a powerful and flexible role-based security model that follows your current security policies and procedures to determine what type of information and access is distributed to end-users.
