Health Plans Easily Adapt to New Government Regulations Thanks to Tech Company
Clarity Software Solutions makes changes to member communications simple for clients
Madison, CT (April 1, 2017) – Clarity Software Solutions, Inc., a leading technology provider to the healthcare industry, recently updated their template for Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) and uniform glossary to align with updated regulations from the Department of Health and Human Services which are effective April 1, 2017. Several Clarity clients are already in production with the updated SBC version which called for thousands of design and component alterations to comply with the new regulations from HHS.
“Our clients count on us to provide the most forward-leaning, up-to-date tools to communicate with their members,” said Glenn Morin, Clarity’s Chief Product Officer. “As a part of that responsibility, we need to keep up with regulatory changes to ensure that we’re providing accurate templates that align with government standards.”
The Clarity solution for SBCs manages all benefit summaries in a central, online document library, allowing health plans to create plan-specific communications for pre- and post-enrollees by integrating variable data into the HHS uniformly designed templates. A simple, online interface allows clients to archive previous versions, create new designs, and order SBCs in real time to meet timely distribution requirements for sales, renewals, plan changes or on-demand member requests.
